The Gospel Message that is presented WILL DETERMINE a person’s ETERNAL DESTINY in Heaven or in Hell.
TAKE NOTICE of what a person (According to this tract) MUST DO to go to heaven.
#1 – Surrender their life to Christ.
#2 – Confess (their sins, that is what is implied here).
#3 – Be willing to turn from their sins.
#4 – Invite Jesus into your heart.
All these things are true AFTER a person has Trusted Jesus Christ as their saviour, NOT TO GET SAVED.
EXCEPT #4, NOWHERE in scripture is a person instructed to invite or ask Jesus into their heart or life.
Chick Tracts mix works and the Gospel together.
Romans 11:6 states…
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
SIMPLY PUT… It is either ALL of Grace or ALL of works IT CANNOT be both.
The Gospel message is the single MOST IMPORTANT doctrine there is in all of Scripture.
The ONLY THING a person MUST DO to go to have eternal life is…
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved”. – Acts 16:31
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
Simply believe that Jesus Christ Died, shed his blood on the cross, was Buried, and Three Days later Resurrected from the dead AS COMPLETE PAYMENT for your sins ALONE, The moment you do you YOU HAVE Everlasting Life that CANNOT ever be taken away NO MATTER WHAT.
John 10:28-29 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (29) My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
NOTE: the word MAN is ITALICIZED which means that it WAS NOT in the original manuscripts.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
