Answer: NO,

You are Just simply AGREEING, RELYING ON COMPLETELY, TRUSTING IN ALONE, with what God ALREADY SAID, what you must do to GET SAVED, and that is simply just BELIEVING that Jesus Christ DIED on the cross and shed his blood, was BURIED, and Three Days later AROSE from the dead as the COMPLETE PAYMENT for ALL your sins.

(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

(Acts 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

(John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You MUST remember that salvation IS NOT by works of ANY sort.

(Ephesians 2:8,9) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

(Titus 3:5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

(Romans 4:5) But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

If you have to do ANYTHING to be saved like:

– Turning from Sin
– Making Christ Lord or Master of your Life
– Asking Jesus into your Life or Heart
– Saying the Sinners Prayer, ect

ALL of theses things are DOING SOMETHING to be saved and are ALL considered DOING WORKS for salvation.

Salvation is a FREE GIFT given to you on the BASIS OF NOTHING you do.

– GRACE: is GIVING us what we DO NOT deserve – Eternal Life THROUGH Christ.

– MERCY: is WITH HOLDING what we DO deserve – Eternal Torment in hell.

And that is EXACTLY what the Lord Jesus Christ DID for us, He PROVIDED eternal life for us THROUGH his Death, Burial, and Resurrection, so that we WOULD NOT have to go to hell to pay for our sins, he ALREADY did it for us and all we have to do is B.E.L.I.E.V.E to recieve it.

The Bible DECLARES In Acts 16:30,31

(30) And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
(31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
