Question 171

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? What does it fully mean God will wipe away every tear in Revelation 21:4?

(Revelation 21:4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Answer:

Sin has its consequences. Pain, Suffering, and Sorrow SOON FOLLOW and visit upon the lives of those who INDULGE.

The ULTIMATE downside to a lifestyle of sin is possiable DEATH.

(1 John 5:16) If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

I believe Revelation 21:4 can be APPLIED in this way:

At the Judgement Seat of Christ, there will be tears of sorrow for the things that we DID NOT do for Christ.

(Romans 14:12) So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

(2 Corinthians 5:10) For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Our every thought, deed, and actions will be put through the fire of God’s HOLY, RIGHTEOUS Judgement to determine if it is worthy of God’s approval or disapproval.

The thoughts, Deeds. and Actions that survive the fire of God’s Judgement we WILL RECIEVE a reward.

The thoughts, Deeds. and Actions that DO NOT survive the fire of God’s Judgement we will suffer the LOSS OF REWARDS.

(1 Corinthians 3:11 – 15) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (12) Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; (13) Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. (14) If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. (15) If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Revelation 21:4 speaks of NO MORE DEATH, and also NO MORE PAIN, simply because we will be in our heavenly glorified body (for the former things are passed away).

Death, Pain, Sorrow will NO LONGER have any effect upon or dominion over our glorified, resurrected bodies.

(1 Corinthians 15:55) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory.

There will also be TEARS OF THANKFULNESS for the following reasons:

– 1. We are in heaven.

– 2. Jesus Christ is our saviour.

– 3. Judgement of eternal torment had been withheld.

(John 5:24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

DEATH = Eternal Torment, LIFE = Everlasting Life.

– 4. We will be in the presence of God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit, all of the angelic host, the twenty four elders ect.

– 5 . We will also have fellowship with all those who have gone on and entered the Kingdom Of God before and after us.

And Many, Many More…

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
