Question 332

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? What is your best advice when talking to someone about the Lord?

Answer:

The single BEST ADVICE I can give is this…

– USE plainness of speech.

The Apostle Paul SAID IT BEST in 1 Corinthians 14:9…

(1 Corinthians 14:9) So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

Paul said to use words that are EASY to be understood, otherwise, they will have NO MEANING to the listener (speak into the air).

It does NO GOOD for us TO USE coin phrases or terminologies THAT CONFUSE the person we are trying share the Gospel with especially, for that is the MOST IMPORTANT thing we need to ensure that the Gospel is PRESENTED CLEAR AND SIMPLE.

There are way TO MANY churches, religious organizations, and preachers that muddy and add to the gospel message with things that have NOTHING to do with the gospel.

The Gospel is SIMPLY THIS…

(Acts 16:31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

My advice is simply K.I.S.S.

– Keep, It Simple, Sir, the simpler the better, God DESIRES ALL people (men) to be saved.

(1 Timothy 2:4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

(2 Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The clearer we present the gospel the easier it is to reach the lost for the Lord and accomplish the mission the Lord has commissioned us to do.

(Mark 16:15) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

In Conclusion:

If the Gospel WE PRESENT to the lost IS NOT CLEAR than how do we expected them to be NOT CONFUSED as to How to Be Saved.

Remember what the Apostle Paul said, that we are to use Words that are EASILY to be understood.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
