Question 492

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Correct me if I am wrong, is Acts 19:12 where Faith Healers get the belief that they can through objects transfer their healing powers to people?

Acts 19:12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Answer: YES, you hit the nail on the head.

Every FAKE (faith) healer goes to this verse and CLAIM that they can THROUGH objects sold by them bestow miracles such as…

– Financial Gain.

– Healings.

– Gained Love & Relationships.

DECEPTIVELY these fake healers convince their followers BY pointing to V11 and say SEE the Apostle Paul “Wrought (performed) special miracles” for people THROUGH various items given to him by them.

Acts 19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul.

What these “Fake Healers” FAIL to tell their decieved and uninformed followers is that God honored and allowed these “Special Miracles” to take place BECAUSE the “Gift of Healing” was still in operation for the scriptures HAD YET to be completed but once the Book of Revelation by the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos in 96 AD was completed (1 Corinthians 13:8 – 10) then ALL of the gifts (Speaking in Tongues, Casting out demons, Faith healing, Divine Visions etc) had ALL come to a COMPLETE STOP.

1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. (9) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. (10) But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

NOTE: In V10 the words “THAT WHICH” in the Greek is in the NEUTER GENDER referring to the word PERFECT rendering it’s meaning to as “AN OBJECT”. If the word PERFECT was referencing to Jesus Christ as the interpretation that is presented by some THEN the words “THAT WHICH” would have to be translated as HE WHICH but this is not the case therefore the word PERFECT is referring to AN OBJECT which is the PERFECT Word of God.

SADLY most of these CHARLATANS (fakes) sell all kinds of gimmicks (such as Prayer Cloth, Miracle Water, Faith Coins etc.) to get money that affords them to live VERY LAVISH lifestyles that 99 percent of their followers and supporters could not in 10 life times afford. According to Costi Hinn (Benny Hinn’s nephew) for 2 years when he was part of his Uncle’s traveling ministry they would stay at the BEST HOTELS in rooms costing $25,000 dollars PER NIGHT, I can ONLY dream, WOW!!!

In Conclusion:

The Lord tells us in 1 John 4:1 to examine and compare everything a ministry, church, or preacher says BY his word.

Beloved, believe not every spirit (pastor / ministry) , but try (examine and compare) the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets (preachers / ministries) are gone out into the world.

As one preacher had said (which also was a title of one of his books) and I quote “You shall know them by their Cadillac’s“, I think he pretty much described them to a T, Do you agree, I sure do…

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.
The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
