Question 516

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? The Unprofitable Servant in Matthew Chp. 25 has ALWAYS bothered me, Could you PLEASE give me some peace on this, Thank – You for your time?

Answer:

The first two servants mentioned in Verses 15 – 17 ARE BELIEVERS (saved),

TAKE NOTE of the words in Verse 21 & 23 – “Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord”

The third servant was a UNBELIEVER (lost), TAKE NOTE of the words in Verse 30.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The words “Outer Darkness”, & “Weeping and gnashing of teeth” ARE ALWAYS in reference to hell.

The unprofitable servant WASN’T cast into hell BECAUSE he didn’t do what he was suppose to do, this person was cast into hell BECAUSE they were NOT SAVED.

TAKE NOTE: LordShip Salvationist TEACH that a person MUST HAVE “Evidence or Proof” of salvation in their life as a christian, if “NO EVIDENCE or PROOF” then that person was either…

#1 – NOT SAVED.

OR

#2 – Lost their Salvation.

BOTH of these are FALSE INTREPRETATIONS that they place upon Matthew 25:15 – 30.

In Conclusion:

Ephesians 2:10 states…

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

TAKE NOTE of the word SHOULD, This verse is saying WE SHOULD have good works (Evidence or Proof) to back up our claim to being a christian but sadly this is MOSTLY not the case for a lot of christians, in fact if you examined their life you probably wouldn’t even know that they were christians JUST LIKE Lot in Genesis Chp. 19 if it not have been for the Lord telling us that he was saved In 2 Peter 2:7 & 8 we would have never known.

2 Peter 2:7-8 And delivered just Lot, vexed (convicted) with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (8) (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed(convicted) his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;).

Lot was a Carnal, Unfaithful, No Fruit (no evidence or proof) christian.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
