Question 552

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Good morning Robert, I Hope this note finds you well. I’m Thinking about saying grace before we eat dinner this Easter, I’m not one to pray out loud in front of people, My family is one thing, but other guests is another, I’m Very shy this way, Can you help me with the right words to flow more easily. Some of those guests are not saved, I would like a quick salvation/ resurrection prayer, These people are Lutheran, Can you help me come up with something short, but sweet regarding having this dinner, and the resurrection?

Answer: Yes I can, here it is…

You could say something like this…

Dear Lord as we commemorate your resurrection, I just want to Thank you for your willingness to leave heaven to go to the cross and die as the payment for my sins, Thank you dear Lord for making it so simple to have eternal life by just simply believing you paid the complete price for my sins according to your written word in John 3:16. anyone and everyone can have this same assurance as I have that you gave me by just placing their trust alone in you for their salvation, Amen.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This should suffice and at the very lest give them pause to ponder and question themselves if they really are sure that they are going to heaven or not.

May this prayer give you opportunity to share the Gospel in hopes that they will place their trust in Christ and his payment alone for their sins rather than in their false gospel of Works (baptism) PLUS faith.

Thank you for the Question

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
