Question? I, along with a couple of my friends, have been going back and forth on this. Is the COVID – 19 virus “A Judgement of God”?
Answer:
To give a short answer to the question… I am not saying it is but it could very well be, Only God knows for sure.
To give support to what I said above, Let’s take a look at a couple of verses.
#1 – Romans 13:1-4
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. (2) Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. (3) For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: (4) For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
In a nutshell… God ORDAINS (decrees, or orders) the establishment of Governments’ and THEIR laws as long it does not go contrary to his Word, the Bible.
THEREFORE, disobedience to “Human Governmental Laws” is disobedience to God.
#2 – Jeremiah 18:7-10
At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; (8) If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. (9) And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; (10) If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.
God disciplines nations ACCORDING to their deeds.
When hurricane Katrina (one of the deadliest hurricanes to ever hit the United States) struck the Gulf Coast and AFFECTING New Orleans, Louisiana, Mississippi, Cuba, Alabama, New Jersey, The Bahamas, and MANY MORE others in August 2005, I FIRMLY believe that this Hurricane was nothing less than both a Warning, and a Judgement from God.
Jeremiah 12:17 says…
But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.
In Conclusion:
This Nation the United States of America was founded and established on Biblical Principles, But, as the Founding Fathers, Preachers, and the Men of like caliber passed of the scene, The reverence for the Word of God slowly at first, but now is running full steam ahead has all but disappeared.
The roots of this rapid downward slide in the past Five Eight years that has GRIPPED this nation were planted on June 25, 1962 and June 17, 1963 in my opinion.
June 25, 1962: Prayer in public school was officially declared Unlawful, and was Removed.
June 17, 1963: The court case ruling between Abington school district verses Schempp made reading the Bible in the public school unlawful.
Prior to the REMOVAL of Prayer and the Bible from public schools, pregnancies among girls 15 to 19 years of age were no more than 15 per one thousand people.
BUT, after the 1962 and 1963 court rulings, pregnancies INCREASED One Hundred Eighty Seven (187) percent (%).
All I can say about that, is that… The statistics speak for themselves.
But I will say this… IF COVID – 19 virus IS NOT a Judgement of God, than it is MOST DEFINITELY in my opinion A WARNING from God.
As a nation we do things that are contrary to the Word of God like THE MURDER (Abortions) of babies.
Just in the U.S.A alone the number of babies KILLED in the venue of choice are staggering…
Ecclesiastes 8:11 states… Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
– From 1973 to 2018 – 61.8 million and counting
– 186 abortions per 1,000 live births (according to the Centers for Disease Control).
– Abortions per year: 1.437 million.
– Abortions per day: 1,708 thousand.
– Abortions per hour = 71, or 1 abortion every 1 minute, 19 seconds.
Than we as a nation cry out… Why God Why, but the truth is we brought this upon ourselves and I could fill up another hundred pages or more and go on and on about all the other many sins there are, But God word says in Galatians 6:7…
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as YOUR savior. Just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.
The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou (you) shalt (will) be saved – Acts 16:31
-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8
-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24
-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
