Question? Could you sir give some of the Contradictions that are listed In the book of Mormon?
Answer:
The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint (Mormon)consider the Book of Mormon JUST as inspired as the Bible, in fact they CLAIM that the Book of Mormon is MORE RELIABLE and MORE INSPIRED than the Bible itself.
In 1 John 4:1 the Bible Says:
“BELOVED, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”.
Also in Romans 16:17
“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them”.
To determine “IF” the Book of Mormon is “JUST” as inspired or “MORE” reliable then the Bible then the Book of Mormon “SHOULD” be consistent with the Bible being that they(Church of Latter Day Saints) “CLAIM” both were written by the SAME author and the SAME God.
1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints”.
Here Is a Brief list of 7 CONTRADICTIONS known to exist in the Book Of Mormon
1. Ether 1:34-37 – Language of Jaredities not confused at the Tower of Babel – contradicts Genesis 11:9
2. Alma 7:10 – Jesus born in Jerusalem – contradicts Micah 5:2, Luke 2:4
3. 2nd Nephi 1:3 – Land of Promise is Jeusalem – contradicts Genesis 13: 14-18
4. 1st Nephi 2:8 – Says the river Laman empties into the Red Sea.
NOTE: No such river has ever been found or recorded in Arabia history. All manner of tools, coins, pottery and writtings mentioned in the bible have been found and validated by archiologist, but NONE from the Book Of Mormon.
5. 1st Nephi 16:28-30 – Faith given to a ball – Contradicts Exodus 20:3
6. Ether 3:9-13, & 19 – Redeemed from the fall because he saw the finger of the Lord – contradicts Hebrews 9:22
7. Ether Chapter 2 – Says God NEEDS constant CORRECTIONS and INSTRUCTIONS – contradicts Job Chapter 38-48
Isaiah 8:20 “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them”.
If you are or know someone TRAPPED in the the FALSE RELIGION of The Church Of Latter Day Saints I ENCOURAGE YOU to examine the above facts and compare them to the TRUE Word of God called the BIBLE.
The Church of Latter day Saints:
1. Deny Jesus is God – Contradicts John 1:1, 14, 1 John 5:7
2. Has a TWISTED BELIEF that there are many levels of heaven and hell – ???
3. Salvation MUST BE accompanied by works (Faith + Works) – Contradicts Romans 4:5, Chp 11:6, Eph. 2:8,9
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was buried and three days later rose from the dead to pay for your sins.
A. Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8
B. Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24
C. BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell & the lake of fire); but the GIFT of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
