Question? What is the answer to the seemingly contradition in Matthew 27:8-10 concerning the Book Of Jeremiah and the Field of Blood?

(Matthew 27:8-10)  Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. (9)  Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;(10)  And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

Answer:

The SEEMINGLY apparent contradiction in Matthew 27:8-10 QUICKLY disappears when we look closer to three KEY words in verse 9 of Matthew 27 “WHICH WAS SPOKEN”.

Those that SUPPOSE a contradiction between Matthew 27 and the book of Jeremiah CLAIM that the bible is IN ERROR because they say that the fullfillment of this was not written in or mentioned anywere in Jeremiah.

Those that make this claim FAIL to UNDERSTAND the three KEY words of Matthew 27:9 ” WHICH WAS SPOKEN”, the Bible NEVER said “WHICH WAS WRITTEN”. no contradiction no error.

It is of MOST IMPORTANCE to carefuly read what the bible says.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins. the MOMENT you believe(TRUST in Christ ALONE) you recieve eternal life.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
