Question? What are some of the elements to being a strong christian?

Answer:

There are THREE main elements that I consider IMPORTANT

– The FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT is to saturate your mind with the Word of God, STUDY,STUDY and STUDY some-more.

(2 Timothy 2:15) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The most important KEY thing to keep in mind is that satan DOES NOT want you to know the scriptures a weak christian is an ineffective christian and he will throw ALL that he can to keep you from studying God’s Word.

(Ephesians 6:10-17) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
(13) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (14) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (15) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (16) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (17) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

– SECOND and EQUALLY as important as the first is to find a church where the bible is taught correctly Dispesationaly, Fundamentally, and Doctrinaly. this is of utmost importance, if you are NOT TAUGHT RIGHTLY then you will be of NO USE to the Lord. Satan WILL TRY to fill your mind with FALSE DOCTRINE if he can.

(Hebrews 10:25) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

(1 John 4:1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

(Romans 16:17) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Just as with the first element satan WILL TRY everything and anything he can to put excuses into your mind as to WHY YOU CANNOT attend church, and if you do go he WILL TRY to get you mad at the preacher, the congregation or something to DISCOURAGE you from going to church and learning the Word of God.

(1 Peter 2:2) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

(2 Peter 3:17,18) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. (18) But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

– THIRDLY but not lest, Accompany yourself with other like minded believers. This is HOW YOU stay encouraged and focused on the Lord. Here again satan DOES NOT want you to be associating with other believers but rather you be making friends with the lost so that you will not be strong in the Lord, In satan’s eyes a strong christian is BAD FOR BUSINESS.

(Proverbs 27:17) Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

(2 Corinthians 6:14-17) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? (16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

IN CONLUSION:

If you or ANY christian will apply ALL three of these elements you or they will find that they WILL HAVE victory over satan and be an EFFECTIVE and useful christian to the Lord Jesus, Fail to apply any of these elements will only result in a DEFEATED life of NO or LITTLE USE for the Lord. Satan WANTS to win and he will do WHATEVER it takes to gain that goal. As it is written in 1 Peter 5:8

(1 Peter 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins. the MOMENT you believe(TRUST in Christ ALONE) you receive eternal life.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
