Question? How do I convince someone that thinks they are right?

Answer:

The old Motto “You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make the horse drink”

The same is TRUE for people, you can show them the TRUTH of God’s Word until you turn blue in the face, If a person IS NOT willing to see the light so to speak then there is NOTHING you can do for them.

A GOOD verse to keep in mind when DEALING with those WHO do not want the truth is:

(Titus 3:10) A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject.

My Pastor’s pastor Dr. Tom Duff used to say “Do not waste your cannonballs on grasshoppers”, in otherwords DO NOT waste your time with those with CLOSED minds and ears.

(Matthew 13:15) For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

The TRUTH of the matter is there is NOTHING you can do to “Change Their Mind”.

Your Job is to simply to PRESENT the truth to them, AFTER that it is THEIR RESPONSIBILITY what they do with the information you gave to them.

Recently I had a similar case were I had the GOLDEN oppertunity to talk to one of my Co-Workers about his NEED to trust Christ Alone as saviour, his very response was that he DID NOT believe that all he had to do was BELIEVE that Jesus Died for him and that he said that there was more to it and REJECTED what I was saying DESPITE all the Scriptures I gave him. SADLY he will one day lift up his eyes in hell to be tormented day and night if he DOES NOT “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” – Acts 16:31

My advice is: Pray for them, and every chance you get, Tell them the truth, and Show them the scriptures.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
