Question? What are the crowns mentioned in scripture?
Answer:
There are FIVE CROWNS mentioned in the Word Of God. Each of those crowns are REPRESENTATIVE and given for a specific achievement.
The Five Crowns:
1). Crown of Rejoicing – AKA – The Souls Winners Crown.
Given ONLY to those WHO HAVE won souls for the Lord.
(Proverbs 11:30) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
(Daniel 12:3) And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
(1 Thessalonians 2:19) For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
2). Crown of Incorruptibleness.
Given to those FOR BEING a Faithful Servant to the Lord and living a SEPERATED life from the world(spiritually NOT Physically speaking like the Amish).
(1 Corinthians 9:24, 25) Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. (25) And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
(2 Thessalonians 3:6,14) Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. (14) And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
3). Crown of Righteousness.
Given to those LOOKING for the rapture and Christ return.
(2 Timothy 4:8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
(Titus 2:13) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.
4). Crown of Life.
Given to those WHO FAITHFULLY served the Lord and ENDURED Testings, Trials, Persecutions, and or GIVING one’s life for the Gospel sake.
(Revelation 2:10) Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
(James 1:12) Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
(2 Timothy 3:12) Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
(1 Peter 4:12) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.
5). Crown of Glory.
Given ONLY to Pastors WHO FAITHFULLY Taught, Preached, and RIGHTLY DIVIDED God’s Word.
(1 Peter 5:1 – 4) The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: (2) Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
(3) Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. (4) And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
(Titus 1:7 – 9) For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; (8) But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; (9) Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 4:2) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (4:2) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.
-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8
-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24
-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
