Question? In Acts 5:33 what does Cut to the Heart mean?
Answer:
Simply means Convicted, Enraged, or Angered.
The TRUTH of God’s Word WILL cut a person to the quick so to speak.
(Hebrews 4:12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Jesus himself said that he came with a sword, Sword representing the Word Of God.
(Matthew 10:34 – 36) Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (35) For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. (36) And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
The truth of God’s Word WILL often times DIVIDE families.
The Word of God will either CONVICT you or CONDEMN you.
There have been many families that have become at odds with each other BECAUSE some of them have Believed On Christ for salvation and STAND FIRM on his Word and other part did not,
I have read MANY testimonials of those that went through the FIRES OF SEPARATION from family members BECAUSE OF Christ and his Word.

DIED: May 29, 1983 Kansas City, Missouri
Whose ministry has been as effective, far reaching and productive as that of this converted Jew. He actually helped spearhead the modern-day swing to mass evangelism, as his city-wide endeavors in the early forties whipped up enthusiasm for evangelism that was all but forgotten since the era of Billy Sunday, Mordecai Ham and Bob Jones Sr.
He was born to Orthodox Jewish Parents. Hyman went to college and became a Lawyer and had his own practice although not religious, but in 1925 he became a BORN AGAIN Jew who trusted Jesus Christ as his saviour and became a MIGHTY EVANGELIST for his saviour and for the Souls of Men.
Hyman Appleman parents were wealthy and he was ENTITLED to a LARGE family INHERITANCE, after his conversion to Christ Hyman’s parents TRIED to get him to recant his faith in Christ but he would not, so in consequence his parents DISINHERITED him from the family fortune.
In Conclusion:
Sometimes there is a PRICE TO PAY to Stand for Jesus, but in the end it will be ALL WORTH IT.
In the words of an Old Song by David Meece “You Have to Count the Cost” but the PAY BACK is MORE than we could EVER IMAGINE.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24
-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
