Question? Sir what is your opinion about physician assisted suicide?
Answer:
Regardless if a person takes their own life or if a doctor does it, as far as the bible is concerned it is all the same MURDER OF SELF.
(Exodus 20:13) Thou shalt not kill.
The word KILL in the Hebrew is RATRACH and it means MURDER.
I believe when a person DECIDEDES to take their life or have it done medically they in a way are trying to ACT LIKE GOD, deciding WHEN, WHERE, and HOW they should die.
Suicide is TRAGIC and is SADLY thought of by those WHO have considered it or have done it BELIEVE it is a means of escape and to end their pain, suffering and sadness.
UNLESS the individual that has committed suicide HAD trusted Jesus Christ ALONE as their personal saviour, BELIEVING that he Died on the cross, Shed his blood, and Rose again from the dead as the COMPLETE PAYMENT for their sins will one second after death be transported to hell where THEIR PAIN, SUFFERING, and SADNESS has ONLY BEGUN, instead of escaping it.
Satan is the master mind behind ALL suicides.
The Bible states in John 10:10
(John 10:10) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The Thief is Satan and he has come to do three things:
– STEAL your Joy as a Christian.
– KILL your Testimony.
– DESTROY you Physically(dead).
Satan’s MOTTO IS:
The ONLY good christian is a DEAD christian BECAUSE he does not want you to lead unsaved people to Christ for salvation. or stir up other christians to be more faithful to the Lord.
It is NOT God’s desire that ANY person should end their life, but instead as John 10:10b says:
(John 10:10b) I am (Jesus Christ) come that they might have life, (eternal life) and that they might have it more abundantly.
The Lord Jesus (God) DESIRES that ALL person TRUST HIM ALONE for their eternal salvation and then have it JOYOUS, HAPPY, and RICH with MEANING and PURPOSE (abuntantly).
(2 Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The word REPENTANCE is the Greek word METANOIA and it means CHANGE OF MIND.
The Lord wants ALL individuals to CHANGE THEIR MIND from their FALSE GOSPEL of:
1- Keeping the ten commandments.
2- Being sorry for, confessing, or turning from sin.
3- Sincerely doing your best.
4- Stop Sinning.
5- Doing good, or religious deeds.
6- Giving money to church.
7- Being water baptized as a infant or adult.
8- Being confirmed in a church.
9- Taking communion, or praying the rosary.
10- Trusting Christ as Saviour AND serving him.
11- Asking Jesus into your heart.
12- Making Christ, Lord of your life.
13- Making Jesus, Master of your soul.
14- Coming Foward in a Church.
15- Laying all on the alter.
Suicide is a TRAGEDY of ENORMOUS IRREVOCABLE IMPLICATIONS and impact to the individual themselves and also to those who are left behind in the aftermath.
I KNOW this FIRST HAND, having my own father Leroy on July 9th 1981 taking his own life.
In Conclusion:
Those WHO ADVOCATE the unwholesome belief that it is morally acceptable to end the life (physician assisted suicide) of a suffering loved one who otherwise life would be considered meaningless is in DIRECT OPPOSITION of God’s Word.
(Exodus 20:13) Thou shalt not kill.
Suicide of any sort IS NOT the solution, it NEVER HAS, nor will it NEVER BE…
Suicide DOES NOT make a way of escape or end the pain it is JUST THE BEGINNING for the UNSAVED LOST PERSON.
(2 Thessalonians 1:8) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The words OBEY NOT mean BELIEVE NOT, DO NOT TRUST IN ALONE COMPLETELY
In otherwords Individuals who DO NOT BELIEVE or TRUST IN ALONE COMPLETELY in the Death Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ (the Gospel) as their ONLY MEANS of eternal salvation WILL GO to hell (In flaming fire taking vengeance on them)
(Revelation 14:11) And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night.
(Luke 16:22,23) And it came to pass, that the rich man also died, and was buried; (23) And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments.
On the otherhand to the one WHO IS saved we may NEVER KNOW how many souls in the Medical Profession or of family members who HAVE BEEN saved because they were in the presence of a dying saint who was FAITHFUL to their last breath in SHARING the Gospel of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15: 1 – 4) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
(Matthew 25:23) His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.
-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8
-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24
-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
