Question? Why was Jesus Baptized?

Answer:

In Matthew 3:16-17, Mark 1:9-10, and Luke 3:21-22 we have the WRITTEN RECORD of the Lord Jesus being Baptized.

The purpose of of Jesus being baptized is two fold…

– #1 to show that 3 years later he was going to DIE on the cross, be BURIED in a grave, and 3 days later RESURRECT from the grave.

– #2 to show that BAPTISM is by IMMERSION and not by sprinkling or any other method that man and religion can think of.

In Conclusion:

Baptism by Immersion is the ONLY TRUE Biblical and Scriptual method of baptism for it is the ONLY ONE that shows and represents the DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ SHOWING that three years later that he was going to DIE on the cross, be BURIED in a grave, and three days later RESURRECT from the grave.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
