Question? Is the earth flat?
Answer: In short NO!!!
There is a movement of Flat Earth Theorist that are gaining attention and SADLY even some christians have fallen for this WHO claim and teach that the earth is flat.
I DISAGREE with their philosophy and teaching SOLELY BASED on what SCRIPTURE SAYS.
The Word of God says in…Isaiah 40:22
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.
– TAKE NOTE that God says CIRCLE not flat.
Science FIRMLY PROVES that the earth is NOT FLAT and they give 10 reasons of proof.
The following is a edited version that was published by Popular Science Magazine January 26, 2016 by Moriel Schottlender which was originally published under theTitle “Smarter Than That” in 2008
-1 The Moon – When there is a LUNAR ECLIPSE (when the earth is DIRECTLY BETWEEN the Sun and the Moon) the earth CAST A ROUND SHADOW on the surface of the moon.
2. Ships and the Horizon – Approaching ships if viewed from a beach DO NOT just appear out of the horizon (like they should if the earth was flat) but rather seem to EMERGE FROM beneath the sea.
3. Varying Star Constellations – There are Stars that are seen in Egypt for example which ARE NOT SEEN in Northerly regions, This can only be explained if humans were viewing the stars from a round surface.
The farther you go from the equator the farther the Known Constellations go towards the horizon, to be replaced by different stars, This WOULD NOT HAPPEN if the earth is flat.
4. Shadows and Sticks – If you place a stick in the ground it will produce a shadow. The shadow moves as time passes, if the earth had been flat, then twos sticks in different locations would produce the same shadow, but they don’t BECAUSE the earth is round.
5. Seeing Farther from Higher – The higher up you climb the farther you see, this phenomenon is caused by the curvature of the earth and could not happen if the earth was flat.
6, Ride a Plane – Planes travel in relatively straight lines for very long times and not fall off any edges. They also can circle the earth without stopping.
7. Look at other Planets – All other planets are spherically shaped, If the earth was flat (which is not) the Sun would have to behave quite differently to accommodate the flat earth.
Factors like Gravity, the Orbits of other planets, their speed movements ect would all be affected and altered.
8. Time Zones – For example if it is 12:00 pm in New York, the sun is in the middle of the sky, in Beijing the time is 12:00 am midnight the sun is nowhere to be found.
In Adelaide Australia, it is 1:30 am, 13 – 1/2 (half) hours ahead the sunset is long gone, soon the sun will rise up again at the beginning of a new day.
This can only be explained if the earth is round spinning around on its axis
9. The Pull of Gravity – The MOST INTERESTING fact about mass is that it attracts things to it.
The force of attraction (gravity) between two objects will simply said will pull toward the center of mass of the objects.
10, Images from Space – In the past 60+ years of space exploration, there have been Satellites, Probes, and People sent in to space, and many of the photos taken of the earth that have been transmitted back are SPHERICAL(Round, or Circle).
And as farther proof, in many, many, of the photo taken the curvature of the earth is also visable.
In Conclusion:
I believe the evidence is quite clear and undeniable beyond doubt that the earth is ROUND (Circle) not flat.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
