Question 301

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Why didn’t Jesus defend himself against all the false charges?

Answer:

In Matthew, Mark and Luke we are given the recorded account where Jesus DOES NOT respond to any of the SO CALLED charges.

– Matthew 26:62

– Mark 14:60, 15:4

– Luke 23:9

Jesus was not here to win arguments but TO DIE FOR OUR SINS.

(1 Timothy 1:15) This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

(1 John 2:2) And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

(Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus who BEING GOD in the flesh could have in a instant put to death all those those that opposed him and thought of him as a mere man, ONLY IF THEY HAD KNOWN… (they do now).

(Matthew 26:52,53) Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. (53) Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

NOTE: During Jesus time a Roman Army Legion consisted of 6,000 men, therefore Jesus said that he could call upon in a instant the protection and help of 72,000 Angels to his aid.

(John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jesus WHO IS GOD, used over forty different writers over a period of 1500 years (to prove that his word is divinley inspired) to write and record his word CALLED the Bible.

(2 Peter 1:20,21) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. (21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Being that Jesus is the AUTHOR of the Bible.

(Isaiah 42:8,9) I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (9) Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

The simple answer can be found in Proverbs 26:4 & 5 which says…

Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. (5) Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

In Conclusion:

– Jesus knew that you CANNOT reason with unbelief.

– That WAS NOT his purpose.

– He came to be the DEATH PAYMENT for sin.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
