Question? Should we have Musical Instruments in Church?

Answer:

I see no reason to say no, IN FACT almost all of the Psalms were PUT TO MUSIC.

The Church of Christ is One Denomination in general as a whole (does not include all Church of Christ churches)that WILL NOT use Musical Instruments of any sort. Their reasoning for this is that THEY BELIEVE having Musical Instruments is Worldly and not of God.

My Rebuttal to this is That they REALLY DISAGREE with the Word of God, BECAUSE The Book of Psalms TELLS US to to sing Praises UNTO the Lord WITH THE USE of Musical Instruments.

(Psalms 150:3 – 6) Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. (4) Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. (5) Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. (6) Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The problem arises WHEN churches STRAY AWAY from the traditional instruments such as the Organ, or Piano and adopt the Electric Guitar, and Drums sets and the like TO DRAW the young generation through Praise and Worship songs THAT LACK substance and the God honoring words of the OLD HYMNS, like Nothing but the Blood, Rock of Ages, and I am Thine O’Lord.

In Conclusion:

YES, we should, We need to HONOR the Lord not only with our voices but also to make a JOYFUL SOUND unto him through musical instumentation.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
