Question? Did giants really exist?
Answer:
YES, but after the flood and not before.
A lot of people in when they see the word GIANT in Genesis 6:4 in their bible they think that these were extremly tall people or a special race of people during Noah’s time before the flood.
(Genesis 6:4) There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
The word GIANT in Genesis 6:4 is the Hebrew word NPHIYLIM and it means UNGODLY TYRANTS or BULLIES.
These MEN were GIANTS in wickedness, evil, and sin, as V4 says men of renown. They were VERY WELL KNOWN (renown) of their horrible, God hating, and denying ways and helped along with the demons (satan’s army of evil angels = sons of God, V2 that possessed the women) in bringing God’s Judgement of the Flood.
(Genesis 6:2) That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
There are those that teach that the sons of God is refering to the children of seth, but this is not so and the word SONS is referring to all the Angels ( Good and Evil – now demons) that God had created.
(Job 1:6) Now there was a day when the sons (Angels) of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
(Job 2:1) Again there was a day when the sons (Angels) of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
(Job 38:4 – 7) Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. (5) Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? (6) Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
(7) When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons (Angels) of God shouted for joy?
The Lord was QUESTIONING Job and was telling him were you there when I (The Lord) created the Heavens, the Earth, and the Universe and all that is contained within them.
As V8 states that ALL the Angels (sons) that God had created SHOUTED for joy when the Lord created the all these things, and these same SONS (Angels) the ones that followed satan in his and their rebellion (SIN) against God BEFORE the creation of man – Genesis 3-27, are the SAME ONES mentioned in Genesis 6:2.
(Revelation 12:4) And his (satan) tail drew the third part (1/3rd) of the stars (Angels) of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
In Conclusion:
To complete the answer to the question asked I said that YES that REAL LIVING giants did exsist and the bible does mention a couple of them.
King Og of Bashan
(Deuteronomy 3:11) For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.
King Og’s bed was 13 1/2 feet long ( 9 cubits) by 6 feet wide (4 cubits)
Goliath of Gath
(1 Samuel 17:4 – 7) And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. (5) And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. (6) And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. (7) And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.
According to 1 Samuel 17:4 Goliath was a pretty BIG MAN, he was approximately 9 feet 6 inches tall (6 cubits + a span).
His armor Coat of mail weighed 125 poinds (5,000 shekels of brass)
Staff of his spear approx. 2 to 2 1/2 inches around. (weavers beam)
Spear head approx. weight 15 pounds (600 shekels of iron).
YES giants did live on this earth but AFTER the flood NOT BEFORE.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
