Question? I had a Young Earth Believer use Genesis 1:31, can you help?

Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Answer:

The problem that ALL Young Earth Creation Advocates (defenders/believers) FAIL to or UNWILLINGLY to understand is the different meanings of the words Create and Made.

– CREATE is the Hebrew word BARA and it means “To Create From Nothing”.

– MADE is the Hebrew word ASAH and it means “To Bring Back Into Use”

Genesis 1:31 USES the word MADE (ASAH) so everything that God had “Brought Back Into Use” (ASAH) was good, NOT EVERYTHING that God HAD CREATED (BARA) was good, Lucifer (who became satan (evil) BY his own CHOICE) is the PRIME EXAMPLE.

Isaiah 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
