Question? Must I go forward to be saved?

Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

Nowhere in scripture will you find a verse that says you have to “Go Forward” to be saved.

SADLY here in the United States there are many Baptist churches (and I am sure there are others as well) that are NOTORIOUSLY GUILTY of telling their congregations “If they want to be saved” or “Serious about being saved” then slip out of your seats or Pews and come forward to the front of the church to receive Christ.

I find this CONTRADICTORY to scripture, In fact Jesus NEVER told Nicodemus in John Chapter 3 that he had to come forward. Paul and Silas NEVER told the keeper of the prison in Acts Chapter 16 to come forward, nor did Jesus tell the believing thief in Luke Chapter 23 to come forward.

The ONLY REQUIREMENT for a person to be saved is TO BELIEVE that Jesus Christ went to the cross to Die and shed his blood, was Buried, and three days later was Resurrected from the dead as the payment for their sins.

I have said many times before and I will say again that ANYTHING that a Person, Pastor, or Church ADDS to the Gospel (read 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Acts 16:31, John 3:16) is adding works to the Gospel Message and turns it into a False Gospel.

Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (9) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

IN CONCLUSION:

If going forward was such a important requirement in order to be saved then Jesus would have said it and made sure it was written in his Word but it is “Nothing More” than a “Tradition of Men” that has NO BASIS in scripture.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent (satan) beguiled (lied to) Eve through his subtilty (deception), so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
