Question? In the Bible is there a verse that says if you impersonate God to hurt people there will be vengeance?

Answer:

Let me start first with this… In Matthew Chp. 24 in verses 23 & 24 Jesus is speaking about the time during the 7 year Tribulation period.
He said that there would be MANY False Christ and False Teachers (prophets) that would claim to be his ambassadors but even though they say Jesus Christ is their Saviour they teach a false gospel.

Matthew 24:23-24 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. (24) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

The application is true for us now during this time period that we call the church age, There are MANY that claim the name of Christ BUT we are to BELIEVE THEM NOT and avoid them BECAUSE OF their False Doctrines and Gospels that they endorse and teach.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Now on to the Question in mind…

The Lord states in Isaiah 48:11…

Isaiah 48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

God WILL ALWAYS be God, He WILL NOT surrender that authority or position to anyone, Satan (Lucifer) tried.

Isaiah 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

BUT HE FAILED miserably.

Isaiah 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Ezekiel 28:13-15 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God (Lived on the Original Created earth – Genesis 1:1); every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. (14) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. (15) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Sad to say there are those WHO THINK in their mind that they must be God by the words and judgments that they render against others EVEN to their own families and the cause justify’s their means by which they WILL ANSWER for those Thoughts, Words, and Actions.

Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

In Conclusion:

It all basically boils down to this… Those that believe not (have not trusted Christ or have rejected the Gospel) the bible says that “In Flaming Vengeance” hell awaits them.

2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

John 3:18,36 – (18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (36) He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
