Question? Seriously, What does it matter if you are a Young Earth or Old Earth creationist WE ALL believe basically the samething about creation, Right?

Answer:

Let me put it in this way, I am sorry to say but WE DON’T basically believe the same way about creation and Secondly it DOES MATTER because as soon as you or I start compromising a little here and a little there it becomes a gradual slide INTO false teaching, I liken it to the difference between Salvation by Grace – Ephesians 2:8,9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

or by Salvation PLUS works – Matthew 7:21-23.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Salvation is by FAITH ALONE In the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and his payment for yours and my sins, This and this alone is what gives us Eternal Life.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Faith PLUS our works, human merits, or religious deeds NO MATTER how sincere WILL ASSURE our eternal destiny separated from God in ETERNAL TORMENT in a place called hell. – 2 Thessalonians 1:8.

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
NOTE: the word OBEY means NOT TO BELIEVE, Not to Trust in or Rely on completely.

To clearly state my position on creation the Earth IS OLD, VERY, VERY OLD..

Psalms 102:25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

2 Peter 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.

Those that hold to the FALSE IDEA that the Earth is not more than Six to Ten thousand years old do so based on that they either have been…

– Victimized by a believing a lie WITHOUT studying the Word of God for themselves. – 2 Timothy 2:15.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

– OR have outright DENIED the scriptures for whatever gain, reason, or purpose.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

As I stated earlier the Earth is VERY OLD, the scriptures give AMPLE PROOF of this and the GAP PRINCIPLE is very much indeed taught and evident throughout the scriptures.

2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water.

In Conclusion:

I am NOT SAYING those that believe in and hold to a Youth Earth Creation are not saved, JUST DECIDED or willingly ignorant.

1 Corinthians 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

But I will say and I DO BELIEVE that the teachers such as Ken Ham and the like KNOW what the Hebrew states and therefore TEACH FALSELY for the very reasons I stated earlier above.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
