Question Eighty Six

Question? What Did Jesus mean Hast No Part in John 13:8?

Answer:

The Apostle Peter was MISUNDERSTANDING what the Lord Jesus was trying to teach him that, he needed to be cleansed from the sins that he commits on a daily basis. 1 John 1:8,9

(1 John 1:8,9)  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
(9)  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The phrase HAST NO PART means to have NO FELLOWSHIP.

When we sin our FELLOWSHIP (not salvation) is lost with the Lord, that is why it is IMPORTANT that we confess our sins to him when we do sin to RESTORE that fellowship, when we are in fellowship with the Lord he can bless us here on earth and reward us later on in heaven but when we lose that fellowship we are at odds with him and he CANNOT bless or reward us but CAN ONLY chasten(correct) us to bring us back into right fellowship with him.

(Hebrews 12:5-11)

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: (6) For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (7) If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (8) But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
(9) Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? (10) For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. (11) Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

To say that we DO NOT need to or fail to acknowledge the sins that we commit each day then 1 John 1:8-10 says that we are DECEIVED

(1 John 1:8-10)

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
