Question Eighty

Question? did Judas Iscariot go to heaven or go to hell?

Answer:

Judas was NOT SAVED not because he betrayed Christ for 30 pieces of silver, or because he committed suicide, he went to hell BECAUSE he DID NOT believe on Christ as his Messiah (savior).

AFTER Judas had Betrayed Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane for thirty pieces of silver – Matthew 27:3, Judas was REGRETFUL – (repented – Greek – Metamelomai) for what he had done.

Things we know about Judas

– A Devil (demon) – John 6:70 – there is only one devil and that is
satan.

Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

– Satan had entered Him – Luke 22:3. John 13:26,27

(Luke 22:3) Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

(John 13:26,27) Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. (27) And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

NOTE: No believer can be possessed by satan or by a demon, This one fact alone PROVES that Judas Iscariot was NOT SAVED.

(1 John 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

– A Thief – John 12:4-6

Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, (5) Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? (6) This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

– He Hanged Himself – Matthew 27:3-5

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, (4) Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. (5) And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

In Conclusion:

Judas Iscariot WAS SORRY/ REGRETFUL (Greek – Metamelomai), but NOWHERE in scripture do we ever read that Judas had ever CHANGED HIS MIND (Greek- Metanoia) and believed on Christ as his saviour.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
