Question? Does John Chapter 14 have anything to do with the rapture as I had once heard someone say that it did?

Answer:

NO!!!

Sadly, there are many, INCLUDING pastors, and bible teachers who DO NOT have this right.

John Chapter14 is about heaven NOT the rapture.

(John 14:2) In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

“In my fathers house ARE many mansions.

I know that this will probably upset many baptist preachers, but those mansions are ALREADY there NOT being prepared as so many have taught and preached

Later, Christ tells the disciples that “I go to prepare a place for you…”

Christ had not been crucified yet, but the cross was where he was going to go and “prepare a place for the disciples, and us.

looking forward to the cross, and for us, who are looking back to the cross. He was going to die on the cross to pay the sin debt of the world.

(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

(Colossians 1:20-22)

“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (21) And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled (22) In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight”

Without believing that Christ died to pay for our Sins, no one, before the cross, or after, has a place in heaven, or, ” the fathers house.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

A. Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

B. Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

C. BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
