Question Sixty Three

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Sir what does Romans 10:4 mean?

(Romans 10:4) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Answer:

In the Old Testament, every person was under what was called the Law, and in order for a person to be in right standing (righteous) in the sight of God that person had to keep every single one of those 720 plus laws which PROVED that there was NOT ONE that could. – Romans 3:10

(Romans 3:10) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Therefore when Christ came to this earth to DIE as our SUBSITUTE for sin on the cross he SATISFIED the demands of the law, 2 Corinthians 5:21

(2 Corinthians 5:21) For he(God) hath made him(Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (Jesus Christ).

When we trust Christ as our saviour, God see’s us through the righteousness of Christ as having fuillfilled the law and putting us in right standing (righteous) in God’s sight.

Galatians 3:24 – 26 states:

(Galatians 3:24 – 26) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (25) But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

(26) For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

The law was a TEACHER showing that ONLY THROUGH Christ can we be delivered out from under the law, and ONLY by faith in Christ ALONE can we be NO LONGER held to the law’s demands. – James 2:10

(James 2:10) For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

A. Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

B. Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

C. BELIEVE
(Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
