Question 488

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Does the bible say anywhere how long Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden before they sinned?

Answer:

No we are simply not told but it had to be long enough for Adam to name all of the animals that exsited at that time.

Genesis 2:19-20 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. (20) And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

There is definitely GAP PERIODS of time in the Genesis creation account.

For example…

Between V1 and V2 of Chp. 1 there is a untold Time Gap, also through out scripture ESPECIALLY when dealing with Bible prophecy there are many places that the Lord will be speaking about certain events that will take place and those events which he speaks of will be seperated by Gap Periods of Time and not taking place at the same time as they seem to read (see Q & A #326).

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
