Question 490

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Will a christian who has become an athiest still go to heaven?

Answer:

Yes, BECAUSE God promises EVERLASTING LIFE not temporary life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

NOTE: he word PERISH means go to Hell

Think about this, if a person’s salvation was based on what they did or didn’t do then that would mean that their salvation was gained by their works and merits in which scripture refutes.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

In Conclusion:

2 Timothy 2:13 states:

If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Take Note of what this verse says…

– If we believe not: If a person becomes an unbeliever (IE. Athiest, Satainst, Worlock / Witch etc) AFTER trusting Christ alone as saviour.

– Yet he abideth faithful: Jesus Christ REMAINS faithful to his promise of Everlasting Life to Whosoever Believeth – John 3:16.

– He cannot deny himself: AFTER a person believes that person is SEALED by the Holy Spirit – Ephesians 1:13, and BECOMES as righteous as God is THROUGH Jesus Christ – 2 Corinthians 5:21, Therefore God (Holy Spirit) CANNOT and WILL NOT CONDEMN himself or the Believer to everlasting punishment in hell.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

One thing a person MUST REMEMBER even though the believer MAY BECOME UNFAITHFUL (unbelieving or become a Athiest , Satanist, Worlock / Witch etc ) God NEVER BECOMES unfaithful to his Word or Promises after they have trusted Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for it is an EVERLASTING UNCONDITIONAL COVENANT between the Lord and the Christian.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
