Question 553

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Can you give me a very simple typeology of Noah’s Ark?

Answer:

In Chapter 6, Verse 14 of the Book of Genesis the Lord instructed Noah to build an Ark to save all those that would BELIEVE and enter it.
Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

The Ark represents Christ, Just as the Ark protected Noah and his family from God’s divine judgement, Christ protects eternally all those who believe and place their trust alone in his payment for their sins from a place called hell. – John 5:24.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death (hell) unto life.

The Gopher Wood represents the cross that he paid the sins of every individual. – 2 Peter 2:24.

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree (cross), that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The Rooms represent the many mansions that await for every believer in heaven. – John 14:2.

In my Father’s house are many mansions (rooms): if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

The Pitch represents the blood of Christ and our eternal security. – Ephesians 1:7,13.

(7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

Genesis 6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

The Window represents Christ as the Light of the World and the Gospel. – John 8:12, 2 corinthians 4:4.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The Door represents the Lord Jesus as the ONLY WAY to heaven. – John 10:9, 14:6.

John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Lower, Second and Third stories represents the size of the New Jerusalem, God’s holy city.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:14-17 (14) And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. (15) And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. (16) And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. (17) And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

In Conclusion:

The account of Noah’s flood represents the offer of God’s salvation (eternal life) and the inescapable Judgement of hell upon all unbelievers that don’t enter (place their faith alone in) the Ark (Christ) of protection (payment of sin).

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.
The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
