Question 314

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Would you recommend all those that are clear on the gospel?

Answer:

Let me answer this question in this way,

Forty to Fifty years ago I would have DEFINITELY SAID YES, but not today.

Let me explain, It almost NEVER FAILS without exception when you find somebody or a ministry TODAY that appears to be clear on the Gospel you soon discover that they are ALL BALLED UP on other CRITICAL DOCTRINES.

One of the BIGGEST LIES that is accepted as truth by MOST christians now is the FALSE YOUNG EARTH CREATION belief.
The Hebrew in Genesis Chp. 1 in V2 is VERY CLEAR that there is A GAP PERIOD OF TIME between V1 and V2.

The Young Earth advocates want you to disregard the Hebrew and other Scriptures that expose their philosophy. They surely do not want you to be aware of the marking in the Masoretic Text at the end of Genesis 1:1, indicating the proper translation of the disjunctive “BUT” instead of the conjunctive (or connecting) “AND.” In the manuscript the reading would be:

“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. BUT (Hebrew “waw”) the earth was (became) without form and void;”
“Was.” The Hebrew for “was” is “hayah.”

It is important to distinguish whether the verb “was” is in the manuscript, or if it has been inserted by the translators. It is wonderful that the King James translators made this distinction. When “was” appears not italicized, that indicates it is in the Masoretic Text. When you see “was” italicized, it indicates it does not appear in the manuscripts, but is understood. This is very important to notice when reading your King James Translation which makes this distinction. In Genesis 1:2 where the verb “was” appears twice: first, as part of the Masoretic

Sadly MOST PASTORS either DO NOT know this truth, therefore, teaching the Young Earth Creation OUT OF IGNORANCE or outright disregard for the truth of God’s Word for the sake of popularity.

A VERY WISE Pastor WHOM I KNOW personally told me to be VERY CAREFUL who you recommend nowdays, BECAUSE as he has said that he has gotten stung by recommending those who HE THOUGHT were straight and trustworthy on what they taught (and they once were) ONLY TO DISCOVER that they had compromised on what they had ONCE BELIEVED AND TAUGHT years ago, therefore his advice is DO NOT recommend nobody or any ministry UNLESS you know ONE HUNDRED PERCENT that they ARE SOLID, and CONCRETE on the scriptures and doctrine.

The Bible states in 1 John 4:1…

(1 John 4:1
) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Although this verse is applied generally to FALSE TEACHERS and MINISTRIES, I also believe that this verse ALONG WITH Romans 16:17 can be applied to Pastors, Churches, Christians, and Ministries that were ONCE SOLID but now HAVE COMPROMISED to not only to fill the pews but also for profit and popularity.

(Romans 16:17)
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

(1 Timothy 6:10) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The Bible DECLARES that as this church age time period we are living in draws closer to the end MANY will depart from THE TRUTHS and once held and taught DOCTRINES of God’s Word.

(2 Timothy 4:3,4) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

(1 Timothy 4:1,2)
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

In Conclusion:

To sum it up, NO, I WOULD NOT recommend Anybody, Any Church, Pastor, or Ministry EVEN IF they were apparently clear on the Gospel, UNLESS i know for sure 100% that they are solid and concrete on Thus Saith The Lord.

In other words, DO NOT settle for the cookie that is in the garbage can.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell) but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
