By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Could you give a easy break down of John 5:24?

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Answer:

YES, Chp. 5 V24 can be broken down into 5 simple points, here it is…

#1 –
Verily, verily, I say unto you: God ALWAYS speaks the truth.

Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

#2 – He that heareth my word: Christ DECLARES himself to be God

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

John 1:1, In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.

#3 – And believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life: Christ DECLARES being God in the flesh, he is the ONLY WAY to heaven and he gives eternal life ONLY to those that believe.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

TAKE NOTE:
The word HATH means a present and future possession, those that BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died, shed his blood on the cross and three days later resurrected from the dead as the complete payment for their sins alone personally HAS RIGHT NOW (Present) the very second they believe eternal life and they have it eternally (forever – Future).

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

#4 – And shall not come into condemnation: Christ DECLARES to all those WHO BELIEVE are no longer under the penalty of going to hell.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

#5 – But is passed from death unto life: Christ RE – EMPHASISES that the believer is NO LONGER under the penalty of Eternal Torment but NOW IS Guaranteed eternal life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins. the MOMENT you believe(TRUST in CreceiveLONE) you recieve eternal life.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
