Question? 1 Peter 2:6, Please explain the word confounded thank you?
1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Answer:
The word CONFOUNDED is the Greek word KATAISCHUNO and it means to MAKE ASHAME.
To simply summarize 1 Peter 2:6 “He that Believes (he that believeth) that Christ (on him) died for them, was buried and resurrected from the dead 3 days later WILL NOT be sorry for doing so or NOT MAKE ASHAME ( shall not be confounded).
The Apostle Paul stated in Roman 1:16...
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
We learn THREE THINGS in this verse written by Paul...
#1 – He WAS NOT ashamed of the Gospel, And neither should we.
BECAUSE…
#2 – It is the POWER of God unto salvation, ONLY THROUGH the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ DO WE receive salvation (eternal life).
Which is given ONLY…
#3- To every one THAT BELIEVETH.
Salvation is GIVEN ONLY to those who Trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross personally for their sins.
Trusting Christ as your PERSONAL SAVIOR is the SMARTEST THING anybody can do in this life.
Satan WILL TRY to convince you into doing the DUMBEST THING that a person CAN DO in this life and that is to NOT TRUST Christ as your savior and end up in hell forever.
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
Satan will try to BLIND YOU and DEVOUR (Gr. KATAPINO = SWALLOW UP) you in FALSE GOSPELS and doctrine.
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish( are going to hell) foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (9) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
IN CONCLUSION:
BE SMART and Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and live in heaven for eternity
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins. the MOMENT you believe(TRUST in CreceiveLONE) you receive eternal life.

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
