Question 402

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Are the Jewish people who have never accepted Jesus as their saviour still God’s chosen people, if so, why are they, and in what way does that affect them and does it have to do with end times?

Answer: To best answer this I am going to break it down in 3 parts

Part 1:

Are the Jewish people who have never accepted Jesus as their saviour still God’s chosen people?

the first part is YES, In Zechariah 2:8, and Genesis 12:3 the Bible states…

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Part 2:

If so Why?

God CONSIDERS the Nation of Israel as “The apple of his eye”, Although MOST Jews today are unbelievers it was God’s desire from the time he told Abraham to use the Nation of Israel as the “Loudspeaker” TO PROCLAIM the Gospel and his Word to the world.

Psalms 135:4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

Exodus 19:5-6 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: (6) And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

in what way does that affect them?

it affects them the SAME WAY as it does us.

– #1 Being that the Jews as a Nation as a whole REJECTED CHRIST the Lord “Set the Nation of Israel aside” (this is where the prophecies of Daniel Chp. 9 and Matthew Chp. 24 come into play) and went unto “US” the gentile(non Jew) to proclaim the Gospel and His Word.

– #2
If we the Christian either as a Nation or individually WILL NOT witness for the Lord then the he will “SET US ASIDE” and use whoever will do his will – Mark 16:15.

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Part 3:

Does it have to do with the end times?

Answer: Yes it does.

At the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation Period (right after the Rapture) the Lord WILL AGAIN use Two Witnesses (2 unknown Jewish believers) who Trust Christ as saviour AFTER the rapture – Zechariah 4:11, Revelation 11:3,4 to lead 144,000 Jews to the Lord (12,000 from each tribe) – Revelation 7:3-8, & 14:3 to declare the Gospel once again to the world as he had initially desired.

Zechariah 4:11
Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

Revelation 11:3-4 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (4) These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Revelation 7:3-8
Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. (4) And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (5) Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. (6) Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. (7) Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. (8) Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Revelation 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins. The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
