Question? Can Christians Judge?
Answer:
YES…..We Make Judgements everyday without even thinking about it.
We make Judgements like…
1. What to wear
2. When to get up
3. What to eat
You have those that TRY to use Matthew 7:1 as PROOF TEXT that we are not to judge, but they forget what the context of what that verse is talking about, it is talking about BEFORE you condemn someone of some sin make sure that you yourself is not committing that same very sin in other words its like the pot calling the kettle black…
Matthew 7:3-5 says it best:
(3) And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
(4) Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
(5) Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
The Bible MAKES IT CLEAR that we are to JUDGE everything ACCORDING to the Word of God ESPECIALLY when it comes to doctrine…
(1 John 4:1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Here are a few verses that show that Christians ARE TO JUDGE ALL THINGS…
(Philippians 1:9) And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment.
(John 7:24) Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
(1 Corinthians 6:2) Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
(1 Corinthians 6:3) Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
(1 Corinthians 2:15) But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.
A. Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8
B. Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24
C. BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell & the lake of fire); but the GIFT of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
