Question 282

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Why did isaac not take back his blessing from Esau?

Answer:

simply, because God had already said before Jacob and Esau were born that the older (Esau) would serve the younger (Jacob).

(Genesis 25:21 – 26) And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. (22) And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
(23) And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
(24) And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. (25) And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. (26) And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

God knows the future and knows what will or won’t happen before it does.

The bible is filled with many prophecies that were told and written down hundreds of years before they happened.

The prophet Isaiah by the inspiration of God (Holy Spirit) foretold the birth of Christ 700 years before hand.

(Isaiah 7:14) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

(Isaiah 9:6) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The prophet Micah recorded which Bethlehem Christ would be born in -(Micah 5:2) and there were two Bethlehem’s, the other was Bethlehem of Zebulun – (Joshua 19:15,16).

Bethlehem Ephratah-

(Micah 5:2) But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Bethlehem of Zebulun-

(Joshua 19:15,16) And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.
(16) This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

ONLY BY the inspiration of God (Holy Spirit) could the prophet Micah name the RIGHT BETHLEHEM for Christ to be born in.

King David who wrote most of the Book of Psalms wrote down by inspiration from the Hoy Spirit (God) that NONE OF Christ bones WOULD NOT be broken.

(Psalms 34:20) He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

(John 19:33) But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:

In Conclusion:

These are just a few examples out of many of foretold prophecies written in the bible.

The next prophectic event to take place that is recorded in the Bible is called the Rapture and this event can happen at anytime and the only people that will be taken at the Rapture are those who have placed their faith alone in Jesus Christ as their savior and payment for sin…DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
