Question? If a person takes the Mark of the Beast can they still be saved?
Answer: Yes, I do believe it is possible, BUT probably IMPROBABLE based on 2 Thessalonians 2:11.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.
NOTICE that it says SHOULD, This is indicative that NOT ALL will take the Mark or later on “Change their mind”
The Lie WILL BE that the Anti Christ (A man possessed by Satan) is Jesus Christ, God in the flesh.
There are those that take the EXTREME ABSOLUTE position that whoever takes the Mark CANNOT be saved and they base that position on Revelation 14:9-11, which states…
Revelation 14:9-11 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, (10) The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: (11) And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
And they POINT OUT… V9: “If any Man”, “Recieves his (Satan’s) Mark”, V10: “Shall be Tormented”, V11: For Ever and Ever, Whosoever recieveth the Mark”.
MY ANSWER to this is, Yes this is true IF that person dies and or remains in that unbelief.
I base MY POSITION on Three verses, which are…
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
2 Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The common denominator here is that the person BELIEVE NOT the gospel.
I have been unfriended on Facebook and called a Evil Heretic, A wolf in sheeps clothing who will answer to Christ on Judgement Day for stating my position.
I believe to say if a person CANNOT (in the absolute sense) be saved AFTER taking the Mark is to REMOVE FREEWILL and in all honesty you really DO NOT believe in the saving grace of God.
For Example, It would be like saying a person CANNOT be saved AFTER they had become a Atheist, Satanist, or joined a Cult Religion, NOTHING could be further from the truth.
I am glad that the Lord is LONG SUFFERING (Patient) – 2 Peter 3:9 WHO GIVES people a life time to CHANGE THEIR MIND (Gr. Metanoia – Come to Repentance) to Trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
In Conclusion:
As long you are a Living, Breathing soul and with my understanding of the scriptures a person that takes the Mark of the Beast is NO DIFFERENT than a person WHO DOES NOT place their Trust in Christ Alone for salvation they are both UNBELIEVERS who will go to hell if they die and or remain in that unbelief.
The Bible states in John 3:18…
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
TAKE NOTE of the words “He that BELIEVETH NOT is condemned already” in other words the Judgement of GOING TO HELL is already sentenced against them BECAUSE OF their unbelief BUT if they SHOULD BELIEVE then they are NO LONGER under that Condemnation (Sentance) but has as John 5:24 says…
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.
The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.
-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8
-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24
-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9
“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
