Question? Sir, what do you make of “You get more flies with Honey than with vinegar”?

Answer:

First, NOWHERE do I find this phrase in scripture either in part or full.

Second I believe this is a phrase that is used by those that are convicted by the “Truth of Scripture” or by those who have “Compromised” God’s Word in order to get along, either way it is by those who claim “Tolerance” in my opinion.

I believe every Pastor, Church or Christian NEEDS to “Speak the Truth” regardless if nobody wants to listen to or hear it BECAUSE the bible states in Romans 14:12…

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

For the Saved it will be at the Judgement seat of Christ to receive or lose rewards.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

For the lost TO DETERMINE their degree of punisment in the Lake of Fire (hell).

Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (15) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

IN CONCLUSION:

Yes, scripture does state that we are to “Speak Truth in Love”…

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

What that means is that we are to LOVE THEM enough to “Tell them the Truth” of God’s Word whether it be “The Gospel” or “Doctrine”, We are to make “No Compromises” or so – call “Soften our Approach” (get more flies with Honey) in order to be tolerant of others False Beliefs or Lack of Convictions.

Those that want the truth “Will Love it” and those that don’t “Will hate it”, in other words be straight forward and DO NOT beat around the bush.

Romans 16:17, 2 Thessalonians 3:6,14, and 1 Corinthians 5:11 state…

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

2 Thessalonians 3:6,14 (6) Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition (doctrine) which he received of us. (14) And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

1 Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
