Question 498

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? A person posted on FaceBook that No Nondenominational pastor has a answer to 1 Corinthians 4:16, do you have a answer sir?

1 Corinthians 4:16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

Answer: YES I DO.

All the Apostle Paul was saying was ” DO WHAT I DO”

Question? What did the Apostle Paul do?

Answer: Shared and Preached the Gospel, Told people about the Word of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

By your question I cannot tell if the person who posted that on Facebook was being Sarcastic, Arrogant, or Making a general statement, BUT basing on that the post was centered on something that the Apostle Paul had wrote I tend to lean towards the former two rather than the latter one.

In Chp. 11, Verse 1 Paul RE – EMPHASISED the same thought of Chp.4 Verse 16

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Paul’s whole exhortation to us is that we be Followers of Christ Just as he was.

Ephesians 5:1-2 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; (2) And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

QUESTION? How does one become a Follower Of Christ?

ANSWER: First of all Trust Chist as Saviour by believing that he paid all your sins on the cross, THEN Secondly put Christ first in your life and Obey his word and do his will and that is how you becom a “Follower of Christ”.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23
