Question 525

By: Robert Serreyn

Question? Give it to me straight, MUST we be Forgiven or Perfect to enter heaven?

Answer:

To make it clear to you WITHOUT any doubt in your mind a person MUST BE PERFECT to enter heaven.

Revelation 21:27 says… And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

In the book of Romans in Chp 3, Verse 23 the scriptures state…

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

TAKE NOTICE of two things… #1 – ALL have sinned and Come Short, and #2 – Glory

The Bible DECLARES that every human being are SINNERS, The words COME SHORT is an Artillery term and can be best understood as “Having Missed the Mark”.

The word GLORY means Perfection or Righteousness.

Verse 23 states WE ALL have MISSED the Mark (come short) of God’s Perfection and Righteousness, THEREFORE Revelation 21:27 says that WE CANNOT enter heaven BECAUSE OF this condition.

To add to this MISS UNDERSTANDING there are LOTS of gospel tracts THAT IMPRESS upon their readers that in “In Order” to go to heaven a person needs to “Ask for” God’s forgiveness.

Let me CORRECT this faulty idea and by saying this…

WHY??? are we ASKING God to forgive us WHEN it has ALREADY been done.

Let me explain…

In the book of Luke in Chp. 23, Verse 34 Jesus said…

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Jesus not only ASKED God the Father to FORGIVE these soldiers BUT he also intended it for ALL of mankind as a whole, THEREFORE everyone who has ever lived is ALREADY FORGIVEN so there is NO BEED to ask God for something that he has already done.

In Conclusion:

In Order to enter heaven every person NEEDS Christ righteousness (perfection) that God REQUIRES.

To RECEIVE this perfection all a person has to do IS BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, The moment that a person Places their Trust in Christ Death, Burial, and Resurrection as payment for their sins God takes Jesus righteousness and put’s it to that person’s account postionally and God NO LONGER sees that person as a sinner but as a saint and allows them entrance into his heavenly kingdom.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he (God) hath made him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him(Christ).

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to know IS Jesus Christ as savior, just simply believe that Jesus Christ went to the cross and DIED and shed his blood, was BURIED and three days later RESURRECTED from the dead to pay for your sins.

The moment that you do YOU HAVE (at that second and forever) Everlasting Life which WILL NEVER be taken away no matter what.

-Christ DIED for you – Romans 5:8

-Christ PAID your sins in full – 2 Corinthians 5:21,1 Peter 2:24

-BELIEVE (Trust In Completely) in Christ ALONE as the complete payment of sin for salvation – John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Ephesians 2:8,9

“For the wages(payment) of sin is death (eternal torment in hell); but the GIFT(salvation) of God is eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ our Lord”. Romans 6:23

IT IS THAT SIMPLE – THE GOSPEL TRUTH
